Chiang Rai is an excellent base to experience trekking in the mountains, mixing with the hill tribes adn catching ayour breath amidst the raw beauty surrounding you; and the Golden Triangle, spectacular mountainous area where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos converge.
